How this image was made

A boardwalk through a drowned cedar forest, one of the last stands of Atlantic white cedar on the Cape. Photographed from a single point on the walkway — thirty-plus frames rotated on a calibrated indexing mount, stitched into a full sphere. The projection throws the trunks outward from the centre until the swamp closes overhead like a vault.
