How this image was made
More than thirty frames captured from one fixed point on the trail, the camera rotated in precise increments on a calibrated indexing mount so every overlap registers exactly. Stitched into a complete 360° sphere and reprojected stereographically, the path curls back on itself and the evergreens become the pillars of the nave. The curvature is not an effect applied afterward — it is the geometry of the whole space seen at once.
Permanence
Wilhelm Imaging Research display-permanence rating of 65 years for dye-sublimation on ChromaLuxe under standard indoor gallery lighting (240 lux, 12h/day).
How each print is authenticated
- A serialised tamper-evident hologram is applied to the reverse of the panel, with its identically numbered twin on the paper certificate. The holograms are die-cut to disintegrate if removed.
- A code is engraved into the panel backing, linking the object to its individual record in this register.
- Each record is cryptographically signed, so any later alteration is detectable by anyone, without needing to trust this website.
