How this image was made

The outer bars at Chatham, where the beach breaks through and reforms with the seasons. Flown overhead and folded into a sphere, then carried across three panels — the tidal channels run off one edge and pick up again on the next. Three pours, three pulls, and a coastline that had already begun changing before the panels were dry.
