How this image was made

Cherry blossom rendered in monochrome, where the absence of colour leaves only structure: branch, petal, and the pale weight of the canopy against an open sky. Three panels, three pours, three pulls. On gelatin the greys take up the birch grain beneath them, so the whites are never quite paper-white — the wood is always faintly present in the light.
