How this image was made

The birch boardwalk at Jesup Path in autumn, built from thirty-plus frames on a calibrated indexing mount and closed into a sphere. Carried across three panels, the ring is interrupted twice by the gaps between them — the eye completes what the wall breaks, which is what the projection asked of it to begin with. Three pours, three pulls, three chances for the gelatin to refuse.
